NEWS ON JABRIL AND CONTEST

August 7, 2009

I spoke with my editor today and it looks like JABRIL will be available sometime on Monday, August 10th (fingers crossed) from ImaJinnBooks.com. You’ll be able to immediately download the PDF or order the print version. I don’t know what time on Monday, depends on when the web site is updated. My editor will e-mail me as soon as it’s available and I’ll post it here in BIG letters!

Amazon.com, BN.com and Fictionwise.com will be after that, probably around the 24th, because of their inventory update schedules. Again, I’ll post it here as soon as it’s available.

IN THE MEANTIME . . . in all the rush to get copy edits, revisions and galley proofs done, I forgot to announce the winner of the July contest!! Duh!

So . . . TEZ!!!! You’re the winner! Yaaay!

And as soon as JABRIL hits, I’ll open a new contest for August and start lining up some guest blogs and interviews. I’m also working on RAJMUND which will probably be out in early 2010, although I don’t have a specific date yet.

Thanks for your patience. I’ll be posting the release news just as soon as I have it.

Can’t wait for the next book! Yay!

And that link was… well… omg haha! Especially the eyes and mouth sewn shut!

    Haha!

    😀

  3. YAYYYY!!!!! I’m so excited for you. Keep them coming. I will be ordering the new one, but probably not for a bit. Just moved, need to catch up on the finances a bit.

I’m not holding out much hope for Monday. That imajinn website doesn’t look active and hasn’t been for several months. I emailed their bookstore and the email bounced back, couldn’t be delivered. Something fishy, almost like the company has gone bust! I haven’t heard of publishing dates that are given to authors and then not adhered to. Isn’t this part of their end of contractual obligations?

  5. dbreynolds Says:

ImaJinn is definitely still in business! They moved their offices from one state to another in May, which is why the web site hasn’t been updated since then.

As for release dates, they slip all the time. Specific dates are not generally part of a publishing contract, as the release date can be affected by many, many things. A six week slip isn’t all that unusual.

I have spoke to my editor and am confident JABRIL will be available sometime today, whether early or late I can’t say.

I’ll post here just as soon as it goes up on the ImaJinn web site!

Thank you all for your patience!

Just finished Jabril & so worth the wait, great job. I was a little worried Cyn would get way 2 dependent on Raphael but you handled it beatifully. I don’t want to give anything away for those who have not read it, but I could not put it down & finished it in 2.5 hours. Tomorrow I will go back & re read it – definately a “Keeper”.

Duncan would be a great “Master”.

    Thanks for such great characters.

    Dina

Thank you, Dina! That was fast! I agree about Duncan, so I think you can count on a future volume entitled . . . DUNCAN! LOL
