Okay, so that’s not entirely fair to my computer. It’s NOT my computer; it’s my router. Which died on me a couple days ago, leaving me with three computers and one Internet connection. Apparently, the person with a penis has first dibs on the Internet connection. Who knew? LOL
So I’m squeezing Internet time on my darling husband’s computer, which is very frustrating, while trying to (a) buy a new router and (b) get it hooked up. Same router, just swap the new one in, right? Of course not. I’m still trying to figure out how to convince the router that I DO have an Internet connection. ::sigh::
I have someone far more knowledgeable than I working on a solution, so I’m hoping to have a router back by tonight. Fingers crossed. Well, briefly, anyway. I have to type, ya know.
But onto the GOOD NEWS! Another review, wonderfully written, by Lesley at Lesley’s Book Nook. And Lesley will be doing an interview in a few days too — the first one on the Book Nook. I’ve received the questions, now I just have to figure out how to write some brilliant and clever answers with a brain that’s been totally fried by router problems.
MORE GOOD NEWS . . . RAPHAEL continues to be the #1 ranked Dark Fantasy on Fictionwise.com, which is just amazing. I’m so happy about that, and I want to thank everyone who bought their e-book over there, and especially those who took the time to rank RAPHAEL with all those “great” responses.
Okay, back to writing RAJMUND, which is coming along very, very nicely. And don’t forget to enter the trivia contest for the $25 Amazon gift certificate. You can find the contest details on this blog, below the covers of RAPHAEL and JABRIL.

I’ll be guest blogging on Monday, May 18th, over at Popin’s Lair. I’ll be talking about Vampires — past and present — and especially, about how I decided which characteristics my very own vampires would possess. Lots of people seem to have very definite opinions about this, and every author seems to draw her/his vampires a slightly different way. So, stop by, visit Popin’s Lair and join the discussion. I’ll be doing a RAPHAEL giveaway as part of my guest blog — anyone who comments through May 30th will have a chance to win an autographed copy of RAPHAEL. (I understand there are still a few of you out there who haven’t read the book, so this is your chance! LOL)
RAPHAEL continues to be #1 in Dark Fantasy at Fictionwise.com, which gives me tinglies all over. (Either that or there’s a short in my keyboard. Hmmmmm.) And don’t forget, I’m still running my May/June contest for a $25 Amazon Gift Certificate. It’s a trivia contest — details on the right, below the picture of my beeeyutiful JABRIL cover!
See you over at Popin’s Lair on Monday, May 18th!

I’m sorry! I put the wrong e-mail address in my contest entry post!!
Somewhere in AOL-land DBReynolds is getting a whole bunch of e-mails labeled “Contest” and wondering what the heck is going on!!
You should send your contest entries to DBREYNOLDSWRITER@aol.com!
Good thing this contest runs through June, so everyone has a chance to re-send their entries. Sheesh.
My sincere apologies!

Popin won April’s giveaway and a signed copy of RAPHAEL is on its way to her. There will be something different for May/June since so many of you have read RAPHAEL by now, and I’m going to have to come up with something new as a prize! Hmmmm. It’s too early for JABRIL giveaways yet, so I’ll have to put some thought into this. I’m thinking Amazon gift certificate. That ought to stir up some interest.
And speaking of Amazon, they’ve added a note to the RAPHAEL listing . . . “Order now, only 1 left (more on the way.)” Which means Amazon is just about sold out of their first RAPHAEL order! That’s got to be good, right? Of course, for all I know, their first order was only ten books! LOLOLOLOL But I’m thinking positively.
And speaking of positive thinking about good books, I read a great book over the weekend. Rob Thurman’s Deathwish, the latest in her Cal and Nick Leandros saga. This was rumored to be the last in the series, although they’ve put that rumor to rest by saying there will be three more books. I have to say, folks, that I thought Deathwish was just about the best book yet. I recommend this series to anyone who likes Urban Fantasy.
I hear the crack of the whip, which means back to writing.
